Rolex 2022 New Releases
Rolex unveils its 2022 collection and it’s truly something of beauty.
Like clockwork, the iconic watchmaker has “moved the dial” yet again with fresh designs of some of their classic timepieces.
Released in conjunction with the Watches & Wonders 2022 event in Geneva, Rolex has released a gamut of powerhouse wristwatches, reinventing some signature pieces.
Let us have a look then, at some of the elegant and masterful horological designs available for purchase from the world-renowned Swiss watchmaker.
The Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II
Topping the list for 2022 is the left-handed New GMT-Master II (MSRP is $8,050 USD). Made from Oystersteel and guaranteed waterproof down to 100 meters (330 feet), it features a two-color monobloc Cerachrom bezel insert in green and black ceramic and is fitted with an Oyster bracelet. It is powered by the brand new Calibre 3285, slated by Rolex to be a “new-generation movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex.” Combine that with 10 patents filed solely for the 3285 COSC-certified movement and you have one amazing new iteration of the original GMT-Master II.
The New Air King
Rolex has released the New Air King, coming with an Oystersteel construction and matching Oysterclasp, it’s newly redesigned 40mm case carries new crown guards and has been updated to Calibre 3230, providing a power reserve of 70 hours: “The Oyster Perpetual Air-King pays tribute to the pioneers of flight and the Oyster’s roles in the epic story of aviation.”
The Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 42
The Yacht-Master 42 is now available in yellow gold and guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet); it comes equipped with Calibre 3235, featuring Rolex’s patented Chronergy escapement to combine high energy efficiency with great dependability.
Since 1992, the Yacht-Master was designed for waterfaring adventures, particularly for navigators and skippers. The new version, just like the original, includes a bidirectional rotatable bezel and Cerachrom insert with a raised graduation, plus the Oysterflex bracelet.
The Yacht-Master 42’s hour hour markers and hands are filled or coated with a new luminescent material which is exclusive to Rolex and guarantees longer-lasting intense glow.
Finally we saw new models of the Datejust, Day-Date and Lady Datejust, offered in 28mm, 31mm, 36mm, 40mm, and 41mm sizes.
