Alpha Growth x LuxFi: AMA Recap

In June, LuxFi had the pleasure of participating in a live video AMA with Alpha Growth, a data-driven Web3 marketing consultancy offering growth services and strategies for ecosystem funds, in DeFi, NFTs, DAOs and other blockchain projects.

Alpha Growth are experts in Ethereum and Web3 technologies and uses proprietary data modeling and targeting business development to support their clients.

LuxFi CEO Aidaa Wong was joined by Alpha Growth founder Bryan Colligan and team member Rebekka Degtyareva. Topics included new blockchain NFT projects within the luxury market, Web3 use-cases and crypto adoption, brand development within the metaverse, and more.

Topics for the AMA included traditional e-commerce versus the abstraction of the shipping (vaulting) and allowing the NFTs to use as the representation of value for the product. Aidaa shared how LuxFi allows storage in local custody or allows buyers to have their items shipped directly to them globally, and told how counterfeiting is one of the biggest problems in luxury markets; this kind of arbitrage means storing items as an asset class.

Bryan mentioned how to use sports cards and memorabilia as an analogy for speculating on the lifetime value of a sports player over their career, as mimicking the same methodology as LuxFi’s custodial NFT product storage options. Aidaa defined the difference between LuxFi and other marketplaces such as OpenSea, and delineated how LuxFi allows anyone to buy, sell and invest in luxury products using cryptocurrencies. AIdaa further shared about LuxFi’s target audiences and the technical details around LuxFi’s native LXF token, and explained more about the initial LuxFi product categories.

Bryan also shared about working previously in social mobile commerce and the influence that content and “hot” products can have on sales and revenue generation. Aidaa shared the NFT “twin” technology and Bryan offered ideas about consumer choice, curation and consumer “taste”, and the group discussed the importance of being in front of trends in the market.

The important features of LuxFi marketplace such as authentication and trusted assets were discussed, real life date sharing via oracles such as Chainlink, and how huge the business could be for companies like LuxFi in authenticating assets on-chain that are tied to physical products.
